Russell Ong
Russell has published apps on the App Store since 2020, starting with Tomorrow: Daily Planner. Chonky Corgo is the eighth. The one before it is Sparky: Screen Time & Focus, which has its own site at hellosparky.app.
Every app is listed on Russell's App Store developer page, and the code for earlier projects lives on GitHub.
Why a walking game?
A step goal with no consequence is only a number. Chonky Corgo gives every walk somewhere to go: an attack on the day's monster, a story chapter, a costume, a room that fills up with furniture and pets.
Two rules shaped the design. A quiet day never costs anything you have earned, and every completed goal moves the adventure forward at the same pace, whether the goal is 4,000 steps or 14,000. You pick the number that suits you.
How the articles here are written
Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. Facts about research link to the paper, and facts about other apps link to their App Store listing or their own help pages, with the date they were checked.
Comparison tables always include Chonky Corgo as its own row, marked "(ours)", with a weakness written as plainly as everyone else's. If a fact could not be confirmed, the article says so instead of guessing.
